The Bismarck Cancer Center (BCC) allows patients in our area to receive state-of-the-art cancer treatment and caring support while staying close to home and loved ones. We have a highly-skilled and compassionate team of radiation therapists, medical physicists, nurses and dosimetrists working with your radiation oncologist to care for you during your treatment.
Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is comprised of three members from each hospital. The Board provides leadership and direction for the strategic planning efforts that support the Bismarck Cancer Center’s mission and vision.

Angie Svihovec, President of the Board - VP Regional Services & State Advocacy at CHI St. Alexius Health

Angelia K. Svihovec is the vice president of regional services and state advocacy with CHI St. Alexius Health. She is responsible for maintaining regional relationships with CHI St. Alexius Health managed facilities and their respective governing bodies, as well as relationships with other regional providers, analyzing health policy, and ensure strategic integration of CHI St. Alexius Health’s mission, system projects and initiatives. She earned a bachelor’s degree in health service administration and Master of Business Administration from University of South Dakota, Vermillion, S.D. She has been with St. Alexius since 2001 and prior to her current role she was the Chief Executive Officer at the Mobridge Regional Hospital (CHI St. Alexius Health managed site


Kirk Cristy, Director, Vice President of the Board - Chief Financial Officer at Sanford Health Bismarck

Kirk is the CFO of Sanford Health Bismarck. He has been with Sanford-Bismarck since 2013. Prior to coming to North Dakota, Kirk was the VP-Finance at St. Joseph Health System in Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting, from Angelo State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Texas Tech University.

Chris Meeker, MD, Secretary of the Board - Vice President-Medical Officer at Sanford Health Bismarck

Dr. Meeker is a board certified emergency medicine physician who started at Sanford Bismarck, formerly Medcenter One, in 2006.  He was voted Chief of Staff in 2010 and accepted the position of Chief Medical and Quality Officer in 2011.  He was a member of the Sanford Health Board of Trustees from 2012 to 2014.  He holds an MD degree from the University of North Dakota and completed residency at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He is actively engaged with legislative committees and community partnerships with a focus on opioid stewardship. 

Ellen Holt, Trustee - Trustee - Vice President Human Resources at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center

Ellen Holt has served as the vice president of human resources with CHI St. Alexius Health since December 28, 2015. She has 30  years of diverse human resources experience and has spent the majority of her career in the healthcare industry.                She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. She earned a Master of Science in Professional Development – Non-counseling in the Counseling Education Program from Winona State University. Prior to joining CHI St. Alexius Health, Ellen was vice president of human resources at Basin Electric and has also previously served as an adjunct faculty member at University of Mary. 

Terri Donovan, Trustee- Vice President of Operational Finances at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck

Terri has nearly 20 years of experience leveraging research and analyzing current health care trends to implement proactive strategies through effective financial stewardship, communication, and collaborative leadership. She works closely with operational and clinical leaders in the alignment of strategic direction, mission, and values at CHI St. Alexius Health.

 Patrick Schultz, Trustee -Vice President of Nursing and Clinical Services, Sanford Health, Bismarck

Patrick Schultz serves as the vice president of nursing and clinical services for the Sanford Health Bismarck region overseeing nursing administration, nursing practice, Magnet and more. Schultz joined Sanford Health Fargo region in 1999 and held roles such as ICU nurse, CNS, director of quality and enterprise clinical standardization administrator. He joined the Sanford Health Bismarck region in 2018 and served as the director of quality and safety prior to his current role.

Schultz is a board-certified clinical nurse specialist (CNS). He holds a master’s degree in nursing from Minnesota State University, Moorhead, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from North Dakota State University.
