The Bismarck Cancer Center (BCC) allows patients in our area to receive state-of-the-art cancer treatment and caring support while staying close to home and loved ones. We have a highly-skilled and compassionate team of radiation therapists, medical physicists, nurses and dosimetrists working with your radiation oncologist to care for you during your treatment.

Community. Compassion. Collaboration. Care.

These are just a few words that come to mind when I think of the Bismarck Cancer Center.  We are dedicated to our community and remain responsive to the ever changing healthcare needs.  We certainly recognize that providing individuals with complete cancer care is an effort that extends beyond our walls.  It is with this in mind that we diligently work in collaboration with both Sanford Medical Center and CHI St. Alexius Health, to bring people the best cancer care possible.

I’d like to make a BIG shout out to everyone that supports our Foundation so tirelessly throughout the year! Our Foundation relies on the caring and compassion of our community members that believe in the wonderful work we are doing here at BCC.  This happens through donations and the continued support of multiple events and fundraisers.  The spring is always a fun and busy time at the Bismarck Cancer Center with annual events such as Tractor Trek, Rugrats Softball Tournament, Volkowitsch Golf Tournament, Carz ‘n Cures, McQuades and many more, including a new Bloody Mary Fest. The Bismarck/Mandan Project HOPE community wellness event in May was also a success with a record breaking 240 local businesses taking part this year.

Through our cancer education and enrichment classes in our local and rural communities, we have touched the lives of many cancer survivors over the years.  This year we received a grant through the North Dakota Cancer Coalition and have been able to offer multiple opportunities to do just that.  We have implemented classes such as ‘Yoga for Healing’, ‘Mindfulness’ classes, and ‘Nutrition 101’ classes that sustain and encourage those on their cancer journeys.  We were delighted to offer four ‘Live Well’ workshops to the Dickinson community this spring which gave individuals insight on multiple topics specifically designed for those affected by cancer and their caregivers.

Finally, we are excited to introduce our new radiation oncologist, Dr. Robert Reynolds!  He joined Dr. Kreofsky at the Bismarck Cancer Center in May and has hit the ground running.  He serves as the Medical Director at BCC and looks forward to helping the patients we serve.  Dr. Reynolds has been practicing in St. Joseph, Missouri and is excited to join the Bismarck Community.

I know I speak for the entire Bismarck Cancer Center team when I tell you we are here for you.  Words cannot describe the tremendous appreciation we feel towards our communities of supporters.  I am so very blessed to be a part of the continued growth at the Bismarck Cancer Center.
